Are you thinking about doing a co-op but not sure where to start? Or did you start a new co-op and need a little advice to get rolling? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered. Northeastern students Cassidy DeStefano, Mat Jac, Skyler Nasrsallah, and others recently returned from co-ops themselves. They’re taking over our Snapchat, and have some tips for the uninitiated.

1.     DeStefano just wrapped up a co-op at the Adobe World Headquarters in San Jose, California. She says, “Try to get a sense of the people you’ll be working with, because you spend a lot of time with your coworkers, and you’re definitely going to want that to be a positive experience.”
2.     Jac, who recently finished a co-op at a communications firm in Boston’s Seaport district, advises new hires to “really take in your time there, and be proactive about seeking out work to do.”
3.   Nasrsallah just returned from her second co-op, at financial firm Alight, Inc. in San Francisco. She says, “Network as much as possible with alumni and take advantage of Northeastern events.”
