Here’s a rundown of other important dates to remember as well as some of the big events happening on campus over the next two weeks. ‘I Am Here’ Thursday, Jan. 4 is the first day of “I Am Here” registration for spring classes. Tuesday, Jan. 9 is the last day of online “I Am Here” registration for spring classes. Spring class registrations will be dropped on Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. for students who do not participate in “I Am Here” or clear registration holds. Jan. 17 is the last day for undergraduate students to add classes to their spring semester schedules through myNortheastern. Jan. 22 is the last day for graduate students to add classes to their full-semester and first-half spring schedules through myNortheastern. Jan. 29 is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop a full-semester spring class without a “W” grade. Log into myNortheastern for these services. Campus recreation Annual maintenance of the Marino Center is now complete. The facility is open daily from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Registration for spring semester intramurals—including indoor soccer, flag football, and extreme dodge ball—opens on Jan. 8 at 9 a.m. and closes on Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. Games begin on Jan. 19. Space is limited for all leagues. Registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. Teams registering after a sport is full will be placed on the wait list. Here’s a complete list of Northeastern’s recreational facilities and their hours of operation for the spring semester. Welcome, new students! A wide-ranging series of “Welcome Week” events will help to celebrate the arrival of new students on campus. On Monday, Jan. 8, the Resident Student Association will host the Spring ResHall Carnival. The event, which will include games, snacks, and prizes, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Curry Student Center Indoor Quad. On Tuesday, Jan. 9, the Center of Community Service will host a laid-back lunch dedicated to the many ways in which students can get involved in their community. The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in room 344 of the Curry Student Center. Later in the day, the Center for Student Involvement will host the Winter Involvement Fair. The event—where representatives from many of Northeastern’s 415 student clubs and organizations set up shop to highlight their groups and engage potential newcomers—will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Indoor Quad. On Wednesday, Jan.10, the Global Experience Office will host a discussion of the many summer study abroad opportunities available to students. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Stetson East quad. On Friday, Jan. 12, men’s hockey will battle Maine. Tickets to the game—held in Matthews Arena at 7 p.m.—are available on myNortheastern or at the door. Here’s the full list of Welcome Week events. Where and when to eat All on-campus eateries will return to their regular hours of operation on Monday, Jan. 8. Visit Northeastern Dining’s website for a complete schedule. Library resources University Libraries will be hosting a “how-to” information session in the Snell Library lobby throughout the week of Jan. 8. The event will show attendees how to navigate services online and in the library, including the Digital Media Commons and 3-D Printing Studio. The information table will be open during the following days and times: Jan. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon; Jan. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m.; Jan. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon.
