Ken Henderson, chancellor and senior vice president for learning at Northeastern, has announced the call for nominations for the 2025 Global Educator Award.
The award honors faculty who advance global learning and intercultural competence, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering a global mindset.
Nominations are due by Feb. 14 and recognize faculty who provide engaging, inclusive and challenging teaching while positively impacting students’ global learning.
Faculty who participated in a global learning experience within the past three years are eligible.
Global experiences include meaningful intercultural engagement through international travel, virtual programs, or U.S.-based initiatives focusing on global issues such as immigration or public health.
Two deadlines apply:
Feb. 14: Submit a nomination letter (500 words max) explaining why the nominee deserves the award to Amy Stevens, vice chancellor of global experiential learning, at a.stevens@northeastern.edu.
March 7: Submit a complete packet that includes a statement from the nominee (500 words max) on the success of the global experience, and at least three support letters from students or graduates.
Winners will be announced April 1 and recognized at Northeastern’s Academic Honors Convocation.
